From drawing to quay in five steps
You deal with one contact from the first upload to delivery. We check the drawing, find the right workshop, watch the manufacturing and inspection and bring the part to where your vessel is.
Upload drawing, photo or description
A drawing is ideal — PDF, DWG, DXF or STEP. Without one, photos with a ruler and the main dimensions are enough to start. Tell us quantity, material if known, the certificates you need and when and where the vessel will be.
Day 0Technical check and quote
We check the drawing, ask what is missing and propose material, heat treatment and tolerances where the drawing leaves them open. You receive a written quote with price, delivery date, inspection scope and documents. For items marked ◆ in the configurator the period starts once the requirements are clarified.
Within 5 working daysManufacturing at the right workshop
We place the job with the workshop that fits the part — turning and milling, heat treatment, welding and steel construction. Material is bought with a 3.1 certificate as standard; you deal only with us, from drawing to quay.
OrderInspection and documents
Functional dimensions are measured and recorded, hardened surfaces get a hardness test, welds the agreed inspection. On request a class surveyor witnesses the acceptance and signs a 3.2 certificate.
Before shippingDelivery to yard, agent or quay
Delivery is planned around your ETA — to the yard, the ship's agent or the ship chandler, in Hamburg as well as in Rotterdam or Hong Kong: wherever the vessel calls. On board it only has to be fitted or welded in.
Planned around your ETAThe more complete, the faster the quote
- Drawing — PDF, DWG, DXF or STEP with dimensions, tolerances and material. A scan of an old paper drawing is fine.
- Without a drawing — photos from several sides with a ruler, the main dimensions, and the mating part (bore, shaft, flange).
- Where it runs — crane, winch, hatch cover, rudder, pump; sea water, load, temperature.
- Quantity and documents — 3.1 as standard, 3.2 with class surveyor, other tests if needed.
- Date and place — ETA, port and who receives the part on site.

No drawing at all?
Then we create one. We measure the worn original or a sister part, return worn surfaces to nominal and send you the drawing for approval before anything is cut. Complex shapes are 3D-scanned through our sister product OceanSphere Additive.
Planned backwards from your ETA
We deliver to the yard, the ship's agent, the ship chandler or the quay — in Germany, elsewhere in Europe or overseas, wherever the vessel calls. Prefabricated steelwork is built to your drawing or sample; on request we arrange a survey on board in German ports beforehand and an experienced fitter for installation.
Normal
The lead time comes with the quote and depends on size, material and heat treatment — from days for simple parts to months for large steel assemblies.
Urgent
Vessel waiting? Tell us in the request. Where material is in stock, workshops can turn simple parts in days.
Planned
Dry-docking or class renewal ahead? Send the list early — we bundle parts and deliver to the yard on the agreed date.
